THEME: WHO IS A SUCCESSFUL WRITER?
This question has been a controversial issue. There are two schools of thought in this debate. The first group belief that there is nothing like a successful writer, rather what we have is a lucky writer. The disciples of this school contend that writing is a creative cum imaginative mental ideas which many people have but few are lucky to discover them and also utilize them. They further argue that the so called successful writers are those the machinery of the state [government] favored, if not their work might not have seen the light of the day.
On the contrary, the second school opined that there is a successful writer. That successful writer is different from lucky or favored writer. The apostles of this school contend that a successful writer is one who has passion and purpose for writing which will enable the person to fully develop and appropriate his/her God giving talent.
Despite this controversy, some scholars and writers like Jeff Goins, Stephen King, Chuk Sambuchino and others have logically and unanimously agreed that are some factors that can make one to be a good writer which may also make the person to be a successful writer.
 These factors are:
1.    Reading: good writers read. Words are the lifeblood of great writing.  There is no way to get good without lots of valuable input.
2.    Get inspired
3.    Find a subject you care about and which you in your heart feel others should care about.
4.    Write everyday and rewrite
5.    Get a good editor, publisher and marketer
In conclusion, today, writing well is more important than ever. The question is what can we do to improve our writing?
Great thought of the day from Paul Graham:
“Writing doesn’t just communicate ideas: it generates them. If you are bad at writing and don’t like to do it, you’ll miss out on most of ideas writing would have generated.”

Today’s quote from Stephen King:
“I’ve written because it fulfilled me. May be it paid off the mortgage on the house and got the kids through college, but those things were on the side – I did it for the buzz. I did it for the pure joy of the thing. And if you can do it for joy, you can do it forever.”
Who is he?
Stephen King has published 49 novels, all of them bestsellers. He has sold more than 350 million copies of his works. According to Forbes, his earning is approximating 40 million dollars per year, making him one of the richest writers in the world.
